Spring is here and volunteering at Potter's Field is near.

To all the SOLS volunteers who have helped us in the past, we thank you for all your time. We hope that you will be available in the future to help continue the work with other volunteers from historical organizations and the community at large.

Potter's Field Restoration Project Report: The project is currently hibernating for the rainy season, although after the Holidays we will begin design work on the replacement burner.
Our last column for 2017 was submitted and published in the Martinez News Gazette in December. It was the seventh installment of Aaron Rice's story picking up where we left off and imaging what their first Holiday season as a free family in 1860 would have been like. We also included research regarding the history of the Holidays as they had been celebrated in the United States. Please read the UNDERGROUND ECHOS by Joseph and Judie Palmer.
Do you have Potters Field resident story to tell? We welcome any pictures or information of anyone or anything regarding Potters Field& the Alhambra Cemetery. Please email us at Martinez Cemetery@ gmail.com or call us at(925) 335 – 9396, to volunteer or share your information.

JAVAJAVAMOOLA Are you a coffee drinker? Are you a cocoa drinker? Maybe you want a little spice in your cocoa with your marshmallows, or a little fruity tutti in your coffee to wake you up in the morning and keep you feeling happy all day long!!! Look no further because we have the best coffee in the whole world. Unlike the cans and bags you purchase in the store, JavaJavaMoola roasts the bean only after receiving our order so that they get delivered fresh every time. And you don't have to wait to get Pumpkin Spice until the Autumn season! Stop by Natural Healings (1034 Court Street, Martinez) to make a cup of a few selections from JavaJavaMoola. A shelf is dedicated to SOLS where you can purchase a 10 ounce bag of Spiced Cocoa, Premium Cocoa or Vanilla Chai Tea. For all other items, Natural Healings will take your SOLS order. You can also order online right from this website. Just click on "Home" and you will see "Java Java Moola Fundraiser" . Click on that and you will see the entire selection and order from our online store . Each 10 ounce bag is $13.00. By Della Washington |
